  5. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

  6. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Hi just subscribed love watching your DIYs did you have to change out the electrical panel to update it to code , I lived in an older mobile home and it was going to be more money to update everything and ended up moving because an accident messed me up and wasnt in any position to do everything that needed done and it wasn't 45 years old.

I'm learning a lot from you Doug.

  10. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Since the crawl space under the house is a poor environment for using ur camera, I was wondering if u could do a drawing to show how u connected the outlets with the wire and made them operational. I think I understand but I want to be sure. I've Gotten estimates to do some upgrades and the cost is ridiculous. My friends and I can do it for the cost of the supplies which is less than an 1/8 of the labor. I get a sense of confidence after watching these videos. U guys r calm, focused and direct. Excellent teaching skills.

Thank you for all of the information on how to do the remodeling from start to finish. My wife and I just bought our home in the country. And we are also just started remodeling as well and ran into the same situation that you have so thank you very much for all of this insight

  12. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Doug do the smoke detectors also have a battery backup in case the electric goes out?

  13. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

see when youre reading in bed would it not be better to have the lamp directly over the sides of the bed so there is no shadow on the book you are reading…just a thought

  17. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

How did you learn how to do so many things? I’m impressed. I need to find a 62 yr old version of you πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  18. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Thank you for explaining the how and why of what you are doing. It is fun and informative.

  19. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Very nice! I like a lot of what your doing & why. You make me aware that some of it is not beyond my current abilities, but some of what will come next I feel at this point is beyond what I would be comfortable doing alone. But, maybe you will take me there. I used to work in commercial & industrial demolition.. I did nearly everything anyone else did.. We didn't blow things up.. People tend to think of that as "demolition", but there is a lot more to it. We also did some residential.. but not as much. You got me thinking though.. and that says a lot.

  20. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Doug, I'm realizing just how skilled you are! I learn from you both, and I enjoy your home endeavors!

  21. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

    Hey guys, I have a Couple questions….
    Why no led high hats?
Why not make the kitchen smoke alarm the primary? Also why not locate the smoke alarm closer to do the door where the smoke would infiltrate in the average fire event ?
And why not frame up closets now and run lights and switches to them?
Looking good so far , Keep up the good work.

  22. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

How did you learn to do all of this stuff? Your super smart.

  23. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

How did you know/learn about installing the wireing?! I am so impressed!

  24. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

You two are so ambitious! I’d be terrified of doing electrical work. Y’all straight up gangsta when it comes to this stuff. Superb skills Doug and Ashley!!

  25. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Y’all have developed a clear plan for how you want your home to be finished. Good work!

  26. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

  27. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

I love how you and Ashley work together Doug you have such good ideals I can’t wait until you finish I know it’s going to be beautiful

  28. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Like the wiring job and all the outlets, but I think I would put in a ceiling fan supporting box in the ceiling where the one in the center is. Oh are you going to seal all the holes through the floor the wiring comes through?

  29. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Yall definitely deserve a nice comfy master bedroom! You sir are doing a great job!

  30. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

  32. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Any recommendations regarding purchasing a home that would be a deal breaker. More trouble than it would be worth. Maybe a top 10 list when you view a property that would make you run the other way.

  33. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

As always thanks for sharing.Great ideas and it is so nice doing it your way isn't it!So many options and thank goodness you guys can do it all!

  34. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Great pendant lights idea. I put wall sconces above the bed with switches on them. They swivel and we just reach up and turn on. Yours really are a decorative feature and the modern style. Don't forget the dimmer switches. I hope your heater has a fan in it.Be well!!

  35. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

you should a power and cat 5 for a tv wall mount now have two power / USB wall outlet were you plan to put your nightstands.

  36. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

    Ceiling fan?

  37. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

You are really do an amazing job!

  38. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

Are you aloud to put electric wires inside the walls without protecting plasic pipes?? What about mice that loves chewing on plastic?

  39. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

One thing I found helpful is to wind the Romex onto a rolling cart for garden hose. The darn things often leak at the fittings so people often give them away. Also,I use bolt cutters to cut the wiring as it's easier on the hands.

  40. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

The hanging pendant on either side of the bed is a great idea!

  41. September 5, 2019 at 4:56 am

    Looking good!
