Wow, looks amazing so far. Personally, the big mirror freaks me out. I wouldn’t want to be looking at myself that much lol, but I suppose that’s just my opinion. Also I can’t help but think the TV looks a little clunky and outdated, and if you’re going to go through the trouble/cost of mounting, I’d be inclined to invest in something a little sleeker. Some plants would be nice too.

Curtains should be hung high and reach the floor and I honestly think the space will look bigger. I also like the idea of a color. A muted green, mustard, or pink might be nice.

How much does a place like this go for now?

I’ve heard NYC rent is going down.

I also agree that curtains would bring the room together, those gaudy cheap blinds that apartments provide really ruin the feeling you’re going for.

Overall this looks pretty good already! I’m gonna second the recommendation for sage curtains, and possibly add a huge potted plant between the chair and window. Just a bit of color will help make the space pop. Also when you mount your TV don’t go for more than a foot higher than the height it’s at now.

You could do the curtains in a sage green if you are open to colour, or you could aim to match the kitchen cabinets for balance.

I think a houseplant would help add just a little contrast and interest to the room. They’ve got some pretty realistic fake ones if you’re worried about your pets. I’d also say that two curtains would work well here – one sheer to let light in and keep the breezy, open feeling, and then one in a medium-to-dark tone. Possibly hang the curtains wider than the actual window and close to the ceiling to make the room seem taller and wider – I’d play around with it a bit.

All my windows have Ikeas [Lill](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/lill-lace-curtains-1-pair-white-90111980/) curtains, they’re super cheap, and I use a bunch on each window, like 4-5 pairs. I think they might work for your window as well.

You are setting up your living room with the tv in focus .. that is old-nordic school. We hardly ever look at that screen 📺. I would exchange your tv with the sofa and place it between/next to the window.

Looks nice and light 🙂 have fun

Don’t do curtains, I think they’d spoil the sleekness. Do wooden blinds to add some warmth and hang some plants in interesting pots from the window as well as stand some on the floor. Richly textured and coloured textiles and a print above the TV will add more colour and warmth.

I feel Scandi is never stark but clean, warm and cosy.

Do you *need* the curtains? Would the windows work/be better with curtains?

I’m gonna echo the others and say a plant adds so much to a room! Also dusty-rose would be very nice imo

If you have books i would add them. Personally i also miss colour so i would add some
Pops: cushions, a plaid, some puctures etc Nevertheless it is very elegant and calming
