This video is about how to decorate your home with Scandinavian decor. Scandinavian decor can be loosely defined as modern, minimalist decor with bohemian touches.
When my husband and I moved into our new apartment, we wanted to start fresh. We decided that less is more when it comes to decor and is also easier to maintain as new parents! It was important that our place reflected our style; clean and modern with a touch of bohemian for coziness. As we started gathering pieces that we liked, it eventually evolved into a Scandinavian type of decor.
I like to find pieces from all different types of retailers. West Elm, Target, Crate & Barrel, Ikea….mixing quality high end pieces with fun economical pieces. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get the look that you want. The key is to invest more in furniture pieces that serve more functional purpose like a rug or a couch. Then, find fun pieces like lamps or pillows at a more economical price. Johanna Gaines of Fixer Upper uses this technique and her homes are flawless!
