Scandinavian Christmas Decorations

I am decking the halls with Scandinavian Christmas decorations this year. Greenery, wood tones, lights and cozy textures all add to the Scandinavian Christmas inspiration.

The Scandinavian style is simple and minimal, full of natural elements and a lot of white. Everything I love in home decor!

Nordic interiors have a focus on handmade pieces and inspiration from nature. They use a lot of earthy tones and white. All things that speak to my minimalistic heart.

I plan to fill our home with fresh greenery, pine cones, candles and plenty of white lights this season.

I rounded up some items from my favorite home decor store that have a Scandinavian feel for the Christmastime.

More of everything, I love picking up tips and design ideas from your channel. I purchased fabric from an estate sale, that I'm going to have pillow shams made for my sofa.

I quickly discovered I lean towards scandinavian minimalist style — especially after finding out I have norwegian/viking blood in me. I love the natural wood, whites and sprinkles of red as a christmas look. That's how I decorate. Simple is best IMO.

I just discovered your channel and I’m really loving your content. I’m soooo into scandinavian decor (both for Christmas and in general). I plan on trying to make some of those dried orange slices, and I really loved the decorations you made with the orange slice, cinnamon stick and star anise. Also, love those bells! If I could order from World Market from Canada, I would definitely get some.

Oh my goodness, Lisa, it's like you're reading my mind!! All your videos lately have been right along with my current interests and style! I literally just discovered Scandinavian Christmas style 2 weeks ago and I've been obsessed with the freshness and coziness! Rare that those things can be combined… The combination of bright snowy whites with touches of bright red and evergreen are perfect to express the wintery holiday theme!
I'm a new subscriber and I am thoroughly enjoying every single one of your videos. I have loved Farmhouse style ever since I was a little girl and didn't even know the name for it. I live in a 1920s bungalow and I really feel that old-fashioned things look more appropriate in my home, so I often scavenge decorative items from thrift stores and antique furniture from craigslist. I keep everything fresh by painting the walls in light colors and avoiding heavy draperies and such. Actually, I recently discovered something wonderful which you might even like to do as well! I have been curtain-shopping and decided I want lightweight white cotton cafe tiers on the bottom half of my windows (for privacy) and just a pretty cotton-lace valance along the top edge (for prettiness!). But the cafe tiers all cost so much and most of them aren't even cotton. However, 2 nights ago I was at Dollar Tree and found some excellent-quality Flour Sack Dish Towels that are the perfect size! All I have to do is fold and sew the rod pocket, and then hang them! They're so lightweight and breezy, I think they'll be just what I'm needing. Since they're white and loosely woven, they'll still let in plenty of light, but they're not too sheer either. I couldn't believe how nice they were for just a dollar each. (They actually had 2 different types of white cotton dish towels, and the other ones were not nearly as nice, nor were they perfectly square, so be careful when picking them out that you grab the nice crisp ones.) Anyway, so sorry for three incredibly lengthy post, but you've clearly inspired me immensely and I'm finally bringing my house into the style that I really envision for it. Thank you so much for taking the time to make such thoughtful and enjoyable videos each week! Your filming quality is gorgeous too — it's a visual treat to watch your latest video in the evening after dinner. Please know that you are a great inspiration and I look forward to seeing more! (Also, I'm going to run to World Market this evening and grab a bunch of those bells! They're exactly what I was looking for!) 🙂

Last year I dried oranges and apples in my oven and stringed then together with cinnamon sticks and made hand torn fabric bows to make garland and ornaments. It was such a fun process and looked beautiful! This year I think I will add your stick stars!!
