Organizing under the kitchen sink | Organized Minimalist Scandinavian kitchen

I’m organizing under the kitchen sink in my organized minimalist Scandinavian kitchen.

What’s hiding under your kitchen sink and how do you feel about it? In this video I share how I’ve organised under my kitchen sink. I also share how I retro fitted a narrow cabinet with a pull out organizer to utilise the space in there to its full potential.

I decided to dedicate the entire cabinet under the sink to my trash and my recycling and I share how I do it.

If you saw my video about my cutlery drawer you saw the wooden dividers I bought for it. Turns out the company I bought them from also saw it and asked to use the image I used for my thumbnail so we did a swap. They got the use of my image and I picked an item from their site in exchange.

Here’s the link to their site if you’re local in Sweden: https://itsdesign.se Kolla in dem! Massor av fiffiga grejer till köket!

Being 100% honest, I may be having a not-so-good or a bad day, but then I watch one of your videos and it suddenly disappears. Your videos are always so relaxing and highly motivational, Benita; I love all of them! Thank you so much for sharing! (Here a follower who used to read, from the very beginning, chezlarsson.com 😉 ).

Benita, your assistant Miss Mini did an excellent job helping you during your video. 💕 I have three of those narrow cabinets. I’ll have to look for a shelf like that. Thanks for another great video.

I have Bar Keepers Friend too! It’s interesting to see what you’ve done with the space – I am currently planning the details of my new kitchen.

Here we have 3 bins outside the house. 1 for Garden, 1 for cardboard, plastic, wood and metal, and then one for non recycling, like food scraps etc. We have recycling sites also where we can take all items to be recycled, glass, paint, batteries, fluorescent light strips, builders materials. Not everyone uses these facilities but the city is trying to reduce the waste that goes to landfill.

  28. April 13, 2019 at 9:40 am

Hi Benita, I love how that narrow cabinet became so useful! I have some cleaning supplies under my sink, along with dishwasher tablets and garbage bags. Our recycling boxes are in the garage – there is a connecting door near the kitchen, so it's very easy to put things straight in there. We have a box for paper and cardboard and another for certain plastics and metal. Unfortunately our town doesn't collect food waste separately – the last city we lived in collected food waste, including bones, which was useful. I'd like to see your recycling video!

  29. April 13, 2019 at 9:40 am

Great video, would like to see recycling system x

  30. April 13, 2019 at 9:40 am

Love the pull out cabinet. Wish we had recycling here. The city says we have land extra for the landfill so they don’t offer anything.

  31. April 13, 2019 at 9:40 am

Beautiful! Yes please for a recycling video 😊

  32. April 13, 2019 at 9:40 am
