Vikings actually painted their houses and decorated them with artwork such as the gripping beast style depictions. They had a strong sense of aesthetic, including in their homes, though they might have had limitations depending on wealth and availability of resources.

Did you know that the vikings used narrow and small entrances to their houses so that when an potential enemy came inside snooping with their head, they would just use an axe and cut off their head as they snuck their head in.

Honestly it’s a good video but I don’t understand why you wont just show us how to make the long house. I mean I understand that people should not just copy and paste but if we could build this then we could make it in our own image. But I can’t build it bc your going way to fast and the camera is moving consistently. I even slowed it down and tried to follow along but I can’t.

When the ship was docked, they would have folded up the sails and even when they were at sea, the sail would almost never be in a perfect 90 degree angle to the rest of the ship, so as to follow the direction of the wind. Otherwise, great build
