Kulning – Traditional ancient Swedish singing

Just me doing a little “kulning”, that I recorded two weeks ago. A bit more power in this kulning. I added some scenes that I recorded when I was in Saltoluokta (Northern Sweden) last month. Kulning can really have so many different styles, and that’s what I love about it.
High pitch, or much lower. Very strong or very soft. I love to mix these styles, to find my very own voice.

I am still working on my kulning- CD, and really hope to release it this year. Thank you everyone for your love and support. I don’t know how many times your beautiful comments about my kulning have made tears in my eyes. You really bring me that energy that I sometimes need to get going with this project. Thank you, from my heart.

I'm sure there would be no background music with kulning!

This is gorgeous and there are only a couple of offensive comments in the comments section. Jonna is incredible and she does more to preserve Swedish culture than the alt-right bucketheads do, so shut up and let the nice lady sing!

Great, now I've got to go and watch some Garmana videos. So iconic for some reason. Stuff like this always reminds me of them. Greetings from Germany.
