Either all black or all wood. Scandinavian to me is beauty in form and simplicity, both of which are hindered by painting one chair different colours. One colour throughout will enhance the form itself without adding colour embellishments. The black will be hard to strip completely down to the natural wood, but it will look the best. Solid black paint if the stripping doesn’t go well.

Scandinavian here. If you are painting it, you can’t get the natural wood colour. If ever in doubt go white!

I like that idea or paint it all black.

I would go for white, pale grey or pale pink.

I think it would look lovely if you keep the yellow and do white for the legs/side.

Depends on what kind of vibe you’re going for. I think this sub has a very specific definition of scandinavian style, but you can mix it up a little if you want to.

I can definitely see these chairs painted pastel (maybe some different colors), combined with a round table for a retro feel.
More natural look might be better if your dining room is very moder and clean-cut.

Cute chairs btw! nice find! 🙂

You could do something [like this](https://images.app.goo.gl/xYveCPBVhZq7MrQh8) with it

I would strip the whole thing, paint it white *except* for the first 1/3 of the legs from the floor up (leave those the natural wood shade).

A pastel color or a bright wood.

All blue with an asymmetrical yellow or gold cross across the front.
