How to make a hanging twig tree for Christmas

Rustic Christmas decorations are on trend at the moment and really expensive to buy on the high street, so why not make your own and save money. They are really easy to make and cost practically nothing, just a little bit of glue and wired string. Nik used the stems pruned from her buddleia to make the framework.
For a tree about 1m tall just cut 2 long pieces and 6 smaller pieces gratuated in length. Glue the joints together then bind with raffia or wired string to cover the glue and make them look more attractive. We used a hot glue gun but if you are doing this project with children remember to use cold glue as both the hot glue and the gun can cause serious burns.
