#mennonitemom #ditl #gettingitalldone
In this vlog you will come along with me as I make time for friends, chores, my kids, my marriage, home renovation projects, YouTuber tasks, cooking, and MORE! The life of a stay at home mom is never boring that’s for sure. In this vlog I discuss what it’s like living “in the trenches” and how I’m being strategic in surviving and even enjoying it! I hope you get some motivation and encouragement from this video!

How I make my gravy:
Remove broth from crockpot. But in saucepan and heat until gently boiling. Add a beef bullion cube if you think it needs more flavor.
In a salad dressing shaker put 1/2 c. milk and 3 tbsp. of flour. Shake until foamy and there are no lumps. (About 10 shakes.) This is gravy paste. Slowly add gravy paste to broth, stirring continually. Depending on your amount of broth you won’t need all your gravy paste. When gravy is a lighter brown and slightly thicker you probably have enough. Turn heat back to low. Add salt if needed. Let simmer, stirring periodically, until it’s as thick as you want.

How I made this roast:
Put a chuck roast in the crock pot on high with a cup of water and a slow cooker seasoning packet from Aldi. Let it get good and hot in there. (If you are away all day just put it on low from the start. It will be fine.) After about an hour turn it back to low. Add diced potatoes and carrots and maybe more water. We love to add mushrooms too if we have them! I also throw a pepper (sometimes even a jalapeno) on top for added flavor. Add a tablespoon or two of butter if desired. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. I have made so many different versions of a roast. This is what I did today.

We’re going to Martin’s on Saturday! You could make a great sewing and craft room in one of those spare rooms…I’m jealous! The Gouda is great on a bbq chicken pizza. The sauce is pizza sauce mixed with bbq sauce, topped with chicken, caramelized onions and shredded Gouda. So good! I make my own crust but store bought works.

Josh reminds me of my husband, Paul. So patient and kind. It's obvious how much he loves you. Definitely cherish him! I've known to many good girls who've had bad guys. You are BLESSED! 🙂

And also, you control your schedule. Sometimes we have to learn to say no to some activities, when we want quality time with our family.

I love that you talk to their kids like their normal people. I see so many YouTubers baby talking to their kids and it's super annoying. Your daughter is a great talker as a result.

Please be careful with your pothos plant. They’re poisonous and will make children sick if ingested. I had no clue and mine had trailed within reach of my pets.

Think of evening time as a family like this … you have the privilege of spending mommy-kid alone time all day long and your husband needs some daddy-kid alone time too. So use his kid time to do some of your editing, etc. to your stuff. Then make sure you get the all of you together for family time. You'll figure out how to arrange it. You're a great wife and mom from what I see!

Making a roux with equal parts fat (butter, etc.) and flour is so much easier than trying to mix flour and a liquid. You will never have lumps if you use a roux. You can let it brown first too if you want to add more color to your gravy.

So funny. When I picked out paint for kitchen I had all 4 my kiddos. Walked in store. Spent 5 min and grabbed the 1st color that I thought I like. Turned out greener than I wanted, but totally worked. Yummy gravy. U can dothe same thing with gf flour and almond milk to make gf and df.
