So today I felt like making a little scandi themed gnome/gonk for the fireplace and thought i’d film it just incase anybody wanted to see how i made him! I know there are lots of tutorials already out there but, I know we all make things differently so it can’t hurt to share huh!
The things I used to make him were:
CANVAS FABRIC – grey with a white snowflake print
WOOL FELT – for his little hat
NUDE FABRIC – by Tilda for doll making
NEEDLE & THREAD AND GLUE
MONGOLIAN FAUX FUR SAMPLE – for his beard
STONES – for weights
PILLOW STUFFING – to make him nice and chubby!
You can ofcourse swap out alll the fabrics used! An old shirt/jumper would be perfect for his body, some cheap craft felt or an old fleece would be perfect for his hat. Filling his body you can use old toys or old cushions, or even things such as sand or rice would be an option inside of a food bag!
The possibilites are endless, and this is why I love to DIY as you really can use all the bits you have around you to make things you love!
I do have around 3/4 more Christmas DIY’s I definitely want to post and hopefully I can get some vlogs going too as I really want to be posting more on this channel! This channel is officially my new happy place on the internet as everyones so kind and eugh, there are so many great creators inspiring me right now!!
Thank you so much for watching
