Why did you put the mustache on top of the nose? That would make them eyebrows!?

Being of Norwegian heritage I was told the Nisse (gnome) , got angry if he did not have butter on his Porridge !! Lol !! My Granddaughter has a Nisse from Norway, that stays in her bedroom year round… For protection !! Lol !! Love the video!!

Very cute, but it is hard to see gnomes growing a mustache above their noses!!!

I’m not trying to criticize but mustaches go under the nose. But I really do think they are cute anyways.

Hi Mika ☺ Have just seen this video. Love it ☺ What a great idea ☺ You asked for a little background story of the gnomes… Well I am from Scandinavia and here in Denmark we call them Nisser. It is a very old belief that every farm (small as well as big) have it's own Nisse. Nissen he is friends with the animals. If you treat him well he will be good to you and your animals… BUT if you're not nice to him he can get mad at you and do his best to make things go bad for you. For example he can make the milk go bad, cause your harvest to fail etc. So you better be good friends with your Nisse ☺ Sorry if I have spelled something wrong or put some words together in a weird way, English is not my native language. Fritz.

    Your English is very good!

I always wanted to grow a nice, thick mustache above my nose… I tried it once and failed miserably. No matter what I did, my hair just wouldn't grow there. I envy gnomes for being able to grow mustaches above their nose. It's a real talent. 😀
    Very cute video Mika! 😀

  28. August 25, 2018 at 9:09 am

I was #100 in liking this how-to! I'm loving the gnomes…and anxious to make my own. Is there a video on how to make the trees in the background? The cloth covered ones?

  29. August 25, 2018 at 9:09 am

These are adorable!! I am making some Tomte to give out as gifts this year! I am hoping to find a short story/poem to give with the elf, but have not come across one yet. A video on the story of these elves would be lovely!!

Here in Norway many of us still put out "grøt" for the gnomes the day before Christmas eve 🙂 And we celebrate Christmas, with great food and present etc on Christmas eve, not Christmas day. They look fantastic, Mika 🙂 And so clever to use old wool clothes for the clothes 🙂 Hoping I can find time for something like this before Christmas. Not only sneak on what others do 😛 If I do, I will share it with you 🙂
