Best Salmon Soup recipe | SAM THE COOKING GUY IN FINLAND

In this episode of The Sam Livecast show, I’m on location in beautiful Finland. I had this classic dish 3 times while I was there, and could have had it 3 more – it’s so damn good.

You can add the left over salmon skin with the water/chicken stock/fish stock while it cooks to give it an extra fishy, savory flavor. Take it out right as it starts to fall apart. you're getting all the collagen proteins and omega-3 fats, which are very good for you.

Whatever you do, don't eat the Norwegian salmon. If you don't know why, just make some research.

A thing to remember is you shouldn't cook the dill too much I think. I mean not over a lot of heat. It's a delicate herb with a delicate taste which will be ruined if cooked for too long. Herbs are different in this regard. Some you can – and SHOULD – cook for a long time. Dill is not one of them and you should maybe just parboil it and switch it off, stir and let it sit. Be careful with that stuff. -b

This was funny with that wind screwing up your fire & papers. Looks very good and traditional, I'm doing it similar way except I also add parsnip & celery root for extra variety to taste. Highly suggesting those two, will get even better

Sauna car on a fairy's wheel! Is your salmon farmed or wild? What is the name of the paste you put in again? Look amazing. I am maybe going to change my mind…
