It is part of my two hour program, Making Documentaries, which has been helpful to thousands of budding videographers, filmmakers, moviemakers, storytellers. I was a very young filmmaker when I made it and learned a lot about editing in this process. I tell all in my program which can be found at my website, www.theHoffmancollection.com

Some traditions MUST come back! This is one of them. SAME AS ROLLER SKATING. A cadence of fellowship and harmony FATHER GOD AND THE ANGELS LOVE!
Good Ole Days πππ
Really diggin the men's fashion back then.
Hey–I thought Southern Baptists (and Methodists) didn't believe in dancin'! What are these people??? Devil's music! (Just kidding!)
it reminds me of irish dancing.
U would be in great shape doing this dancing. My hips hurt already.
How I yearn for a time like this again…
Anybody else think of the Irish Riverdanc3 when watching this video?
Greatest barn owl dancing dancers i don't care no one around hundreds miles you smoke tobacco in that barn your fired and loose your job the old timers
This is so amazing I just love this Absolutely fantastic.
American highland and Irish dancing, maybe also dutch and nordic influence. but the irish step dancing influence is obvious.
there's nothing wrong with having pride and feeling good about white culture and heritage, just like there's nothing wrong with feeling the same about your heritage from anywhere in the world.
yeeeeeehaaaaaa
Amazing! Wonderful!
Two of mankinds better achievements, music and dancing. Top that, you aliens from other planets!
This doesnβt look a million miles away from the Irish riverdance. Are they related ?
It would be fascinating to know what happened to these people in that room.
The old good times, having fun with family and friend, not Cell phones, not I pads, kids being kids, what the Hell happen with our Country?
Filmed the year I was born, yeehaw! Love it! Grew up in south Georgia and also in Florida, and always loved to watch my uncles and my Mother dance. They'd dance pretty much anywhere their hearts desired, even on top of a pool table, lol. Have always enjoyed bluegrass, and I used to live just north of the Chattooga River where the movie (Deliverance) was filmed. Well, at least the river portion. Yep, we still have Bluegrass in them thar hills in North Carolina!! Got family to the west of Franklin, where bears and deer roam freely. Beautiful country!
Dancing on that beautiful handmade wood floor. Nice.

What a workout!
Wonderful.
I too miss the community that I grew up in. π¦πΊ
I was randomly watching this, and I just burst into tears. The culture and traditions we have lost…

Ahh, found it again. My favorite video on the tube!!! Thank you sir for filming and sharing this pure and joyful view of how wonderful life can be
So fucking good!!!
I've watched this video dozens of times. The dancing is great, but migosh! Listen to those old men play!
i never get tired of this vid
Such a wonderful innocent time
Trim tummies, no one out of breath for doing some real work, no one shouting, everyone working as a team, no microtransactions. This is all what the world has lost.
Reminds me of going to an old fashioned barn dance.. which is about as fun as it gets.. It feels like America!
Wait. No devices?
Thank you again. I go sleep sleep now.ππβ€οΈ
I love it. The energy of the dancers is amazing.
This really lifted my spirits. You can't listen to a banjo and a fiddle and feel sad. I find the mountain people fascinating and resilient. Love the photo of the granny on the wall. The girl with the dimples has a smile that lights up a room. Amazing dancing from the blokes, very impressive to see because many blokes "don't dance". Great video, thanks for the upload!
Great job cloggers…Fun to watch!!!πππ€π
Back in the days when Americans were skinny
I wonder why?
Loved this video!
Must watch before bed. Wonderful. Thankie
In today's world there's a good chance those kids would be sitting around starring at their phones. Some times I wonder about progression. By the way, the video is amazing!
I like clog dancing.. This is Awsome video..
Does anyone think shagging was derived from clog. To me it seems shag dancing is similar in ways to clog.
i never knew that America had a culture besides what we see on tv, so there are good Americans, share your culture, show us that you too are people and not just soldiers, and we will love you for what you really are,
Pretty sure I will die knowing this is the best thing I have seen on screen. Thankie
Please, dance again!
Must have been sturdy timbers in that house ; they'd have danced my front parlor right into the cellar !
