Would try Etsy or Craigslist search for “Gainey” planters. Not sure what your definition of affordable is.

I bought [this ](https://www.target.com/p/artificial-plant-in-stand-large-project-62-153/-/A-50968822#lnk=sametab) planter from Target ($40). I hated the fake plant, so i dig out the fake dirt etc (it’s hard but you can do it with enough effort)

Insert real plant and it looks great. And for a fraction of the price of any other planter like it out there ($150+)

thanks everyone. I ended up scoring 6 large gainey ceramic planters at a nursery liquidation sale for 10 bucks a piece. I guess local is the way to go!

If you want to get your hands a bit dirty there are instructions for diy cement planters, white or left plain for that sweet industrial look, all over the internet. You can use pretty much anything as a mold, too. They’re surprisingly easy and cheap to make.

You could look into 3d printed based on Etsy. I run a store on there that does modern vases and they run from $10-$18 depending on the size. Most 3d printing stores can do custom orders for whatever style you like if you ask the owner.

I honestly looked for over a year to find a cylindrical planter and the best I could find was one from CB2. I did the opposite as you – bought the pot first so I could build a case study stand for it. Figured it would be harder to find the pot with proper dimensions for the stand, so I bought the pot to built around.

I have the one with the wooden stand in a slightly different colour combo but I didn’t get it in the US and it wasn’t very affordable. They look great though, good luck with your search!
